Frequently asked questions about current procedures amidst Covid-19
- What is The Mac Shack doing differently during the pandemic to keep its staff and customers safe?
Along with what's required per the state as an essential business,
We have extremely limited the flow of traffic in our store through the usage of the Apple appointment scheduler.
We are only allowing 2 customers in the showroom at any time with restrictions on distancing as well and requirements to wear a mask while in our store.
Interactions are limited to the drop off and pick up of devices only, all other information is gathered over phone prior to any visit.
The staff is wearing PPE while helping customers and working on devices.
All devices checked in are sanitized with products recommended by the CDC in conjunction with Apples recommendations.
- Why can't I see any appointments available at your location?
In short, they're all full. The Mac Shack is fortunate to be one of the few open service locations for Apple products at this time in a very large radius, and one of even fewer Apple Authorized Service Providers still open as well. As such we are experiencing a tremendous work load. We are doing our best to offer a fair amount of appointments to people without over extending ourselves in the instance that we are required to close for any number of reasons.
- I can't get an appointment, can you put me on a waiting list?
At this time we are not offering a waitlist for appointments. We advise you check the appointments daily in the instance that someone else cancels.
- I need my device fixed right away, I rely on it for work!
We absolutely understand. We're doing our best to help as many people as we can, as safely as we can, for as long as we can.
That means we have to restrict traffic which does mean there's a wait. We can't guarantee that we can complete any service in any set amount of time.
We've been advised of, and are starting to see extended shipping times for parts and product.
- Can you help me setup an appointment over the phone? Can you answer a quick question over the phone?
If you're unable to create an appointment online via https://getsupport.apple.com/ we can help you make an appointment as a last resort, if they're available.
That being said, we ask that you please attempt to do so yourself before resorting to calling us, as we have to keep all phones interactions as short as possible.
Our phones ring off the hook all day and we have to assure the lines are open for those confirming appointments and arriving for them.
We are not offering ANY phone support or troubleshooting at this time for the above reasons. Please call 1-800-MY-APPLE for those questions.
